ATTENTION all previous version customers!

Version 8 is a paid upgrade. Versions 1, 2, and 3 are not eligible for upgrade pricing. If you install version 8 without upgrading or purchasing a new serial number, your videos exported from ScreenFlow 8 will contain a watermark until you have entered a valid version 8 serial.

Please select which version of ScreenFlow you are upgrading from:

Upgrade Instructions

  • You will retain the same serial number.
  • To obtain upgrade pricing in-app, you must either have version 6 or 7 already installed and activated on your system, or enter your version 6 or 7 serial number into version 8 within the ScreenFlow Preferences > License panel, before initiating the upgrade process.
  • Failure to ensure your copy of ScreenFlow version 6 or 7 is activated, or failing to enter your version 6 or 7 serial in version 8, will result in upgrade pricing not being offered in the application.
  • On a new mac? Download and install ScreenFlow 8, select Preferences from the "ScreenFlow" Menu and switch to the "Licenses" tab. Enter your version 6 or 7 serial number. Click "Upgrade" to access the Telestream store.

Upgrade Pricing*

  • ScreenFlow 7 → ScreenFlow 8 = $39
  • ScreenFlow 6 → ScreenFlow 8 = $49

Not seeing upgrade pricing when you should? Here are your options:

  • If you are still unable to see upgrade pricing in-app, you may alternatively use our Web Upgrade Tool to look up your serial number via an email address, or if you know it, upgrade your serial number online.
  • You can optionally purchase a new full version 8 license for $129.

*Developing updates is a significant ongoing cost. We strive to keep our update costs lower than others within the market, while also showing our appreciation to our loyal customers that upgrade to each version. We feel that this strikes an even balance between the two, and even our highest upgrade cost is cheaper than similarly powerful tools on the market. We hope you enjoy ScreenFlow 8!

Upgrade Instructions

  • You will receive an entirely new serial number due to a licensing system change.
  • To obtain in-app upgrade pricing for version 4 or 5, your serial number must be activated in the ScreenFlow Preferences > License panel of that older version, before initiating the upgrade process. ScreenFlow 6+ is unable to recognize serial numbers from the old licensing system.
  • Failure to ensure your older version is activated before installing a newer version, will result in upgrade pricing not being offered in the application
  • On a new mac with the latest macOS? Legacy software will often not run on the latest macOS release. Please see the options to the right, or proceed directly to our Web Upgrade Tool.

Upgrade Pricing*

  • ScreenFlow 5 → ScreenFlow 8 = $59
